BEST INDIAN CBSE SYLLABUS WITH INTEGRATED ACTIVITIES

The school follows the CBSE curriculum. At all levels children are encouraged to develop independent learning skills. The school also follows a ‘no homework policy’ for KG to Grade 4. However, we give emphasis to daily learning and reading is embedded in our curriculum.

The kindergarten section of Pearl Wisdom School, Dubai nurtures the skills and the tender minds with care along with an invigorating aura to encourage the curiosity, a plethora of creative and problem-solving activities. At this stage we give our Pearls the best possible commencement to a more formal education.

Our curriculum enables the learners of kindergarten to develop fondness for learning. The activity-based learning through play approach uses different learning materials so that the young minds can explore language, literacy, numeracy, creativity and performance.

Each child is given individual care and attention that will boost his/her ability and build confidence in them. It is our promise to nurture and develop ambitious committed young boys and girls into future leaders who will preserve their cultural identities and be strong intellectuals as well as the role models in the modern world tomorrow.

Primary School is from Grade 1 – 4, covering age groups 6 – 9. The Primary School is both the longest period of a child’s education and the time when the most connections and discoveries take place.

Our Primary School Program provides a rich and dynamic, forward-looking learning environment. Our children build strong foundations in reading, writing, numerical skills and scientific understandings. In addition, we teach our learners to develop the skills and approaches to learning that are essential in this rapidly changing world. The primary curriculum with its cross curricular approach, enhance critical thinking, and problem solving skills and provides opportunities to explore and discover.

Areas of learning are English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arabic, Arts, Islamic studies / life skills, Performing Arts and Physical Education. All our learners have the opportunity to learn a second language. French or Hindi is taught through intensive and immersive daily language instruction from specialist speakers. Children also have the opportunity to learn Malayalam.

Life at school is spent in a myriad of co-curricular activities to develop interest in art, music, culture among others. The Bhavans Fest is an annual Intra school program and would be a platform for children to perform and display their innate abilities.

Besides these, the school has a unique assessment system which encourages students to take their tests in a natural environment without feeling the pressure of an assessment.

The Middle School learning at PWS provides the young aspiring learners with a challenging and supportive learning experience that acts as a bridge between the solid foundation laid in the primary school, and the more formal and challenging demands at the secondary level.

The activities and exposure are focused on equipping learners with the required global competencies and are mainly addressed at this level giving them challenging platforms and opportunities for flexible thinking, independent learning, peer tutoring, entrepreneurship, creative thinking and so on. Students are trained to take the responsibility for their own learning.

They are also provided with a more challenging curriculum which would ease their smooth transition to the Secondary level.

The emphasis is on being visually creative and enterprising, developing the right study habits, and acquiring in-depth conceptual knowledge. The curriculum is activity oriented, based on collaboration, mentoring and coaching, discussions and debates, group project work, discovery and exploration. A wide range of teaching and learning strategies are employed in all areas of the curriculum.
